Case Studies » Foster's
PMA have been a provider of Foster’s since July 2006, after being successful in a National Tender process conducted in 2005/6. The purpose of the tender was to source a consistent approach to the management, procurement and distribution of all marketing materials across the Foster’s Group.
The main objectives were increased visibility, web based catalogue and ordering system, simplified processes, inventory management and measurement reporting. Foster’s agree they have significantly benefitted from the flexible service provided, which has ensured an ability to create and improve processes in order to facilitate Foster’s individual requirements, and that of their personnel.
The Work in Progress (WIP) system, developed specifically for and in consultation with Foster’s saw a management of a total of 32,221 kits in its first 3 months in 2008, whilst PMA have been able to achieve an average turnaround time for kit packing of only 2.5 days from receipt of last item to despatch. With the aid of the WIP system, PMA ensured over 90 distributions from single kits to semi-trailer loads to 5,766 destinations in NSW alone, in a 12 week period. Consolidated storage has ensured Foster’s the consistent approach required, while the online ordering tool and PMA’s inventory system has delivered depth and accuracy in reporting, giving Foster’s and PMA the tools required to enable analysis with a view for constant recommendation for improvement.
This is possible trough PMA’s core offering of independence, flexibility and client focus.
Independence allows PMA to focus its efforts as the manager of the total supply chain, whilst flexibility and client focus ensure clients like Foster’s the tailored program their ever-changing requirements demand.
