eVolve
PMA Solutions prides itself on its custom self developed proprietary software system. The original offering was developed when PMA first started operations in 1988 and has been in constant evolution since. The original system was 4GL Informix based and has been supplemented since 1998 with additional modules written in VB or as web modules in a constant evolutionary cycle.
Our databases are provided through a mixture of Informix and SQL Server platforms.
With the exponential trend to Internet based transactional processing we have been porting and developing all our new software as web based from 2002. These modules are written in a mixture of ASP, PHP, .NET and Java.
eVolve can be broken up into its major sections.
- Administration - User setup including settable menu options, user accounts and grouping and requisition approval setup.
- Enquiries - Allows different enquiries to be run with multiple parameters on history, requisitions, stock items and orders.
- Over Print Products - Our online business card ordering system. Full online proofing etc.
- Product Catalogue - Stock is displayed online in its associated groupings. Associated images and all other information is available.
- Reports - All facets of our reporting are available online and access to these reports is controlled for users through the administration functions.
- Requisitions - multiple approval levels, freight urgency selection, virtually unlimited lines, graphical catalogue interaction and stored order availability for repeat orders.
- User Manual - Online help.
The software is updated and maintained by our five person IT team. Three of these five are full time dedicated developers.
With an internal development team we are constantly developing new software and features sets, predominantly in response to customer "wish lists" or market trends. Since the start of 2005 we have released The Online Artwork approval module and PDA based ordering.
There is also a host of new software systems for internal system upgrades which will allow greater functionality in our current external software suites.
