About PMA Solutions
The History of PMA Solutions
PMA Solutions was established by the current Managing Director and primary shareholder, Phil Okill, in 1988 as Print Management Australia. Phil believed that there was an opportunity in the print industry to reverse the traditional focus from production and press capabilities to client requirements and service. Key to this strategy was total independence from any manufacturing capabilities - allowing unbiased supplier selection and the best market rates to be sourced and shared with our clients.
This approach soon attracted a wide range of companies keen to improve the ways in which they managed their print and distribution requirements. Some of these companies and clients remain with us today. The success of this strategy resulted in Print Management Australia being included in BRW Magazine's fastest growing private companies three times during the 1990's.
During this period significant investment was made in the infrastructure of our organisation - with a particular focus on physical facilities, IT systems and staff. Although the business always operated as a print management company, in recent years the service offer has expanded to include leading technology for internet based access, online catalogues, ordering and reporting solutions. We have also developed a successful promotional products business in the last three years and a substantial fulfilment service division in the last four years.
Given the exceptional growth and the evolution and expansion of our service offerings, Print Management Australia was re-branded to PMA Solutions in 2003. This new entity more accurately reflects a wider range of services for our clients than print.
The client was, and remains, central to driving growth and strategy in PMA Solutions. We strive to deliver results for our clients through smart systems and with smart people.
Smart Thinking.
PMA Solutions celebrates 20 years in business...Footloose in FIJI
PMA Solutions, Australia’s leading independent supply chain manager for print, promotional material and personal safety products, recently celebrated its 20th birthday milestone by taking its staff and suppliers to the idyllic offshore location of Fiji. During 4 fabulous days of sun, fun and shared memories over the October long weekend, the PMA team and partners, numbering 120, enjoyed 5-star luxury resort accommodation on Denarau Island, Fiji.
MD and company founder, Phil Okill, said “I wanted to mark the milestone of PMA’s 20th birthday by doing something very special for our staff, partners and key suppliers. Great people make a great business, and the commitment and passion of our PMA team has helped me build what we have today … a vibrant, dynamic and rapidly growing business that delivers service excellence for our clients across a constantly expanding product and services offering. Fiji was the perfect environment for our team to reflect and celebrate 20 years of business success, and just as importantly, look to where we want to drive this business into the future”. Phil also noted that “It was very satisfying to have the support of over 30 key suppliers and business partners for our Fiji celebrations, which highlights the critical importance of our suppliers to the success of PMA, and vice-versa”.
